For those who remember "Pong" December 24, 2008 Yes, I admit it. I was born in the age before computer games. I remember when "Pong" hit the scene and revolutionized games. Well, the World of Warcraft Battlechest has revolutionized gaming yet again. The graphics are splendid, the action is fierce, the story lines surprising and amazing and if you take the time to watch the "cinemagraphics" you will be astounded. This game is fun no matter what age you are. I've only been playing a short time and this is definately my new favorite pasttime.
Best Deal Around December 20, 2008 It's World of Warcraft, need I say more? It's great that this Battlechest comes with both the original game and the first expansion, The Burning Crusade, especially for this price. I tried getting this from Walmart and it's $15 more there. Both come with new, unused CD keys to create a new account and upgrade it to Burning Crusade ready. The "guides" are completely useless, as there are hundreds of websites dedicated to World of Warcraft information, but it's a nice bonus.
I played WoW from when it first launched until The Burning Crusade came out, quit, and now I'm back for the Wrath of the Lich King. Things have changed. Most players have a high level character, so it's incredibly hard to find a group for anything under level 60. It has gotten to the point where low level players just beg high level players to do the work for them. It has created a larger amount of new players that never learn anything, so you'll have to learn your class on your own and avoid these lazy people.
Excellent Purchase - Lots of Fun December 17, 2008 If you haven't purchased World of Warcraft, you don't know what you have been missing in on-line gaming. Warning, this game is extremely addictive. You'll be playing the game so much that you'll have to plan your life around it. This game offers lots of action, interaction with other people from all around the world and a thoroughly enjoyable user interface. It is also easy to learn and play. Recommended for all ages, including those of us who are baby boomers!
worth the money December 16, 2008 Definitly invest in the battlechest over them seperatly. This game is very fun, the only downside to the game is that you have to pay for a subscription, there is no part of the game you can play without one. And its all online, so if you dont have internet, you cant play.
WOW made fun. December 16, 2008 If you have played Dungeons and Dragons but have been missing the visual then you will want to play this game. The downside to the game is the fact that you dont gain much gold untill you are almost level 50. Now you can make auctions and products selling them threw the auction house however this is not a guarentee. Guilds do prove useful and in many cases you have to almost have one its an achievment.
At any rate or age this is a good game provided you know what you want out of it. and it is highly addictive.
